Just a few months ago, British-Sri Lankan electro rapper M.I.A. released the epic, controversial mini-movie for her song "Born Free." Maya is back in true visual-artist form this week with her brand-new music video for the sexy hit single "XXXO" off her recently-released album '/\/\/\Y/\,' which is in stores now.
The Hype Williams-directed video features a gorgeous M.I.A. dripping in shiny techno-ethnic Indian princess garb and writhing in cyber-space among gaudy Blingee glitter, animated .gif unicorns, and pixelated roses, visually interpreting the theme of MySpace-era internet booty calls and the faux-projection of flirty, over-sexed users on the Web.
