Foreign Exchange: Robyn & Yelle

Photobucket

On June 2nd, iTunes introduced one of the coolest and cutest collaborations (well, okay, it's not really a collaboration per say) between two of the most exciting and explosive international artists - Swedish pop super-star Robyn and French electro-pop power-house Yelle.

Through iTunes' brand-new Foreign Exchange venture, music artists/bands from different countries cover one of each others' hit songs. Robyn and Yelle are the second duo to join the program - and they sure deliver!

In the EP, Yelle covers Robyn's "Who's That Girl" as "Qui est Cette Fille," and Robyn covers Yelle's "A Cause des Garçons" as "Because of Boys." None of the original pop-prowess and electro goodness from both original songs gets lost in translation: the covers are spot-on and very dance-worthy!

Both covers are absolutely fantastic - and though many reviews floating around the internet have been preferring Yelle's take over Robyn's, I can honestly say I enjoyed and jammed out to both equally.

If you are looking for an exciting new addition to your iPod/MP3 or just love electro - and good fun pop music - I highly recommend you download this Foreign Exchange EP on iTunes pronto. Not that it's going anywhere any time soon, but seriously, how can you live without this kind of international electro-pop brilliance?

Also, download both covers
here on iTunes!
